Specificity: This antibody is specific to 39 kDa protein known as DNA polymerase â. DNA polymerase â comprises an amino-terminal 8 kDa domain and a carboxyterminal 31 kDa domain. DNA Polymerase â, a DNA repair polymerase, is constitutively expressed in cultured cells. DNA polymerase â fills single nucleotide gaps in DNA produced by the base excision repair pathway of mammalian cells.
