Specificity: This antibody reacts with a 40 kDa protein known as XPA (xeroderma pigmentosum group A) protein. XPA specifically recognizes UV or chemically damaged DNA lesions and triggers the nucleotide excision repair process. XPA binds to the replication protein A (RPA) or excision repair cross complementing 1 protein (ERCC1).
