With the constantly increasing number of small biopsy specimens being undertaken, traditional handling techniques such as tissue wrap and foam pads are proving to be unsatisfactory and time consuming.

The CellSafe+ is an entirely new concept, designed by CellPath, which offers a high security easy to use alternative.

A UK Pathologist processing 1000 biopsies per year stated that a week was saved each year by using CellSafe+, which was much quicker to use compared to folding tissue.

The CellSafe+ consists of two hinged interlocking frames with an integral nylon mesh. This extra fine 200 ìm mesh ensures a high level of specimen security, zero tissue damage and low reagent carry over.

The CellSafe+ is adjustable to the Biopsy specimen size. The CellSafe+ can be hinged in either direction and closed to encapsulate the tissue.

During processing, CellSafe+ is contained in any standard tissue–processing cassette for processing in the normal way. Prior to embedding tissue can be removed with greater ease and security than using conventional foam pads or paper wrap. The CellSafe+ can then be discarded. Available in either packs of 100 or a more cost effective solution pack of 1000.
