INVISORB SPIN PLANT MINI KIT

   Overview

The Invisorb® Spin Plant Mini Kit is an effective solution for isolation of high-quality total cellular DNA from a wide variety of plant species and tissue types. The optimized procedure uses a prefiltration spin column, a unique filtration and homogenization column that efficiently removes cell debris and improves sample handling following lysis.

  Workflow

At first the plant samples are mechanically disrupted, followed by lysis in an optimized buffer and Proteinase S. Cell debris is removed and samples are filtered and homogenized by centrifugation through a Prefiltration spin column. DNA selectively binds under non-chaotropic conditions to the spin filter. Contaminants and enzyme inhibitors are removed by efficient washing steps. The final elution step yields high-quality genomic DNA. The purified DNA is ready to use for subsequent downstream applications or can be stored at –20 °C:
