The heated tamper fits connects directly to the CellCeps control unit in either of the ports and works in conjunction with the heated forceps. The tamper has been developed by experienced histotechnologists to aid with those pieces of tissue that need to be encouraged to lay flat in the bottom of the mould during the embedding process, i.e. prostate cores, prostate "chips" and small biopsies that need to be carefully orientated at the same level in the block.

Ther are 3 sizes available - 8 x 8mm, 16 x 16mm and 28 x 25mm.
