Overview

The InviMag® Universal Kit/ KFDuo allows for rapid and economical purification of genomic, bacterial, viral DNA and viral RNA from a variety of clinical samples with sample volumes of up to 200 µl using magnetic beads. The kit is designed for semi-automated preparation on the KingFisher Duo workstation.

Workflow

Beside the pre-filling of all cavities, all processing steps are performed by the robot. The sample is lysed in an optimized lysis buffer. The nucleic acids bind to magnetic particles, followed by washing steps and the final elution. The procedure requires minimal interaction by the user, allowing safe handling of potentially infectious samples. Sample cross-contamination and reagent cross-over is effectively eliminated. Due to the high purity, the isolated nucleic acids are ready to use for various downstream applications:

• PCR and real-time PCR

• genotyping, STR, and SNP Analysis
