Overview

The InviMag® Universal RNA Mini Kit/ KF96 allows for rapid and economical purification of total RNA from cells, lymphocyte pellet or tissue samples using magnetic beads. The kit is designed for semi-automated preparation on the KingFisher 96 and Flex 96 workstations.

Workflow

The kit simplifies RNA isolation by combining efficient lysis of the starting material with removal of genomic DNA by selective binding to a specific surface of a solid material. The lysed samples are transferred to the automatic purification procedure. The total RNA binds to the magnetic beads, followed by washing steps and the final elution. The eluted RNA is ready to use for subsequent downstream applications:

• RNA dot blots
• cDNA transcription
• Real-time PCR (quantitative RT-PCR, like TaqMan and LightCycler technologies)
• Array technologies
