RDC is manufactured to the same formulation since 1974 therefore offering you proven performance and consistent results.
In addition to Hydrochloric acid, RDC contains both protein and membrane stabilisers to protect morphological and staining characteristics. Decalcification of small pieces of bone such as trephines can be completed within 3-10 hours. A non-destructive calcium oxalate or x-ray testing can determine the end point.
RDF is a formic acid decalcifier based on a well-proven Christensans formulation offering a slower and more easily controlled rate of decalcification than RDC.
RDF is recommended for larger more dense specimens where a slower reaction rate is required to prevent localised over decalcification. Both are packed in shatterproof, wide necked PET bottles. Each pack includes MSDS and shelf life of both products is 2 years.
