Specificity: This antibody is specific to a 37-43 kDa protein known as Rad51. Rad51 is similar to RecA. Rad51 promotes homologous pairing and strand exchange within a regular nucleoprotein filament. Rad51 has been suggested to be involved in homologous recombination and in cell proliferation regulation. This antibody cross-reacts with mouse and rat.
