The Invisorb® DNA Plant HTS 96 Kit is designed for convenient isolation of genomic DNA from up to 50 mg of plant tissue in 96 well format, optimized for use in a centrifuge.

Workflow
The isolation procedure ensures lysis of well-homogenized plant material with a lysis buffer combined with Proteinase K digestion. The lysis efficiency can be improved by shaking the sample during lysis. A clearing of the lysate is necessary to remove unlysed material by a pre-filtration step. After this step the DNA binds onto the surface of the membrane of the filter plate under non-chaotropic conditions. Contaminants are removed by washing steps with two different buffers and pure DNA is eluted in a low salt-buffer. For RNA-rich samples RNase treatment is recommended. The purified genomic DNA is ready to use for subsequent downstream applications or can be stored at –20 °C:
