INVIMAG UNIVERSAL KIT/ IG

Overview

The InviMag® Universal Kit/ IG enables fully automated, true walk-away purification of genomic, bacterial, viral DNA and viral RNA from a variety of clinical samples on the InviGenius PLUS with sample volumes of up to 200 µl. Different primary tubes can be placed directly into the sample loading rack. Defined and optimized protocols provide high yields of pure nucleic acids. Automatic barcode reading enables full tracking of samples and reagents.

Workflow

The samples and reagents are placed in the loading rack and are identified by the automatic barcode scanner. Sample, reagents, and disposables set-up is software-supported. The sample lysis is performed in an optimized lysis buffer directly on the InviGenius PLUS in the heat incubator for efficient sample lysis of up to 90 °C. The heated lid prevents condensation and aerosol formation.

The InviGenius uses magnetic rods to transport the NA-binding magnetic particles through the various extraction phases: Binding-Washing-Elution. The subsequent steps after lysis, such as binding of the nucleic acid onto the InviMag beads, washing and final nucleic acid elution are automatically performed in a fast and reproducible manner. No user intervention is necessary from sample loading to extracted NA. The purified NAs are of high quality and can be used for subsequent downstream applications:

• PCR and real-time PCR
• genotyping, STR, and SNP analysis
