INVIMAG BACTERIA DNA MINI KIT/ KFML

Overview

The InviMag® Bacteria DNA Mini Kit/ KFmL allows for rapid and economical purification of bacterial DNA from a broad range of bacteria species and different sources using the RTP®technology and magnetic beads. The kit is designed for semi-automated preparation on the KingFisher mL workstation. Up to 15 samples in parallel can be processed.

Workflow

The sample lysis is carried out at two different incubation temperatures in the Extraction Tube to increase the sensitivity, followed by binding of the nucleic acid to the InviMag beads, washing steps and final elution. The purified DNA is ready to use for subsequent downstream applications or can be stored at –20 °C for subsequent use:

• PCR

• real-time PCR (quantitative PCR, like TaqMan and LightCycler technologies)

• restriction digestion

• RFLP analysis
